MONMOUTH, Maine — Officials have determined a fire that destroyed a Monmouth mobile home Wednesday was intentionally set.

The cause of the fire, which started on the porch of the home, has been determined to be arson, Sgt. Ken Grimes of the State Fire Marshal’s Office said Friday afternoon.

Grimes said no charges have been filed in connection with the fire.

The fire at West Village Mobile Home Park prompted firefighters from four communities to respond.

The homeowner was not injured in the blaze, and the trailer was not insured.
