Jacqueline M. Kenney

BREWER AND BANGOR – Jacqueline M. Kenney, 86, passed peacefully from this world to the next, April 26, 2014. She was born Feb. 2, 1928, in Bangor, daughter of Hugh T. and Florence G. (Iott) Tracey.

She was a graduate of Brewer High School, class of 1946. Jackie married Frederic L. Kenney, April 23, 1949. She enjoyed being a stay at home mother raising her children until they started school. She then worked for Sylvania. In 1969, she and her husband, together with Merrill and Shirley Trask, opened T& K Seafood in Brewer. This they ran until 1986. After that she was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital for several years.

Surviving are two sons, Eric Kenney and his partner, Kathy Maxsimic of Portland, Frederic “Ted” Kenney and his wife, Linda of Glenburn; four grandchildren, Tammy (Kenney) Heidemann, Shaun , Eric and Marc Kenney; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Tracey of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; sons, Mark and Donald, and four brothers, Hugh, Lawrence, Donald and Karl.

A service in celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
