PORTLAND, Maine — Police are searching for three men in connection with a robbery on Auburn Street on Sunday.

Lt. James Sweatt said police responded to a residence shortly after 2:30 p.m. and found a man in his home with a head injury.

The victim told police that three men wearing dark clothing and black ski masks entered his home and attacked him in his bedroom, according to Sweatt.

“The suspects beat and struck the victim with a blunt object in the head during the robbery,” said Sweatt.

The alleged robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Sweatt said the alleged robbers are between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 and weigh 250 pounds. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Portland police at 874-8575.
