CARIBOU – Sylvia H. Plourde, 61, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at a Bangor hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 25, 1953, the daughter of Harold and Claudine (Haley) Anderson.
Sylvia enjoyed her home at Madawaska Lake where she spent many hours gardening, kayaking, drawing, and painting. She looked forward to the beautiful sunsets, country living, and spending time with loved ones. Sylvia adored and was highly dedicated to her two sons, Rob and Andrew and her grandchildren, Evan and Caitlyn.
She is survived by her son, Robert Plourde and his wife, Catherine, along with her grandchildren, Evan and Caitlyn of Durham, N.H.; and son, Andrew Plourde and his fiancée, Ashley Strait of Matthews, N.C. She is also survived by her special sister and brother-in-law, Claudia and Bill Sealander of Caribou, a special aunt, Reta Haley of Caribou, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Harold and Claudine (Haley) Anderson, and sisters, Judy Rideout and Janet Bouchard.
Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating. A reception will follow services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in her memory to Cary Medical Center.
