HUDSON – Darrell Reed St. Lawrence, 66, passed away peacefully April 23, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. Darrell was born in Eastport, Sept. 21, 1947, the son of Edward Baxter and Alice St. Lawrence.
Darrell grew up in Eastport and then served his country in the U.S. Army. Upon his return from his military service he worked as a mechanic for Bean & Conquest but most of all enjoyed working as a Cab Driver for Town Taxi. In his spare time, Darrell loved fishing on breakwater in Eastport, but most of all enjoyed time spent with his family. Darrell will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Darrell is survived by his loving wife, Carol A. (Meserve) St. Lawrence; daughters, Tammy Ruda and husband, Greg and Cheryl Hall and husband, Chris; sons, Elliot Meserve, Roger Meserve and fiancée, Christina, Darrell “Bub” St. Lawrence, Charles “Chip” St. Lawrence and wife, Jillian, Paul St. Lawrence and wife, Jenessa and Phillip St. Lawrence; sisters, Cheryl Thompson and Victoria Collins and husband, Tom; 13 grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Richard Mealy; as well as many other “in-law’s”, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Darrell was predeceased by his parents, his daughter, Kelley St. Lawrence, sister, Linda Mealy, and a brother-in-law, Paul Thompson.
Family and friends may visit 1-6 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Hudson Town Hall, 2334 Hudson Road, Hudson. Memorial contributions in Darrell’s honor may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
