FREEPORT, Maine — A light on an outside wall ignited a small fire in a Port Drive mobile home Wednesday evening.
Freeport firefighters responded at about 7 p.m. to the home near Winslow Park and found an exterior fire that had spread to the mudroom entrance, Deputy Chief Eric Sylvain said Thursday morning.
Crews contained the fire to the exterior wall within about 15 minutes, he said.
No one was home at the time, so firefighters secured the damaged property with plastic.
Automatic mutual aid drew tankers from North Yarmouth, Pownal, Durham and Brunswick because the home was outside the hydrant district, Sylvain said.
No injuries were reported.
