Bangor woman arrested after allegedly hitting boyfriend with car

BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor woman who allegedly hit her boyfriend with her car Tuesday evening remained behind bars Wednesday night, unable to post bail set at $10,000, a Penobscot County Jail official confirmed.

Teneika Belote, 21, was arrested by Bangor police about 6 p.m. Tuesday after she reportedly ran into and injured Rodrigo Ramirez, 23, at the Riverview Motel on State Street.

Belote is charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence assault, domestic violence reckless conduct and driving to endanger.

Also arrested were Ramirez, who was the subject of an active warrant, a jail official said.

Ramirez was released on bail Wednesday after a court appearance at the Penobscot Judicial Center.
