Coach Steve Trimper’s keys to the series: “These are two evenly matched teams who are both trying to find a groove. We need to execute everything offensively, bunts, stolen bases, two-strike hitting.”

Game notes: This series brings together the finalists from the 2013 AE tourney won by Binghamton. UMaine’s sweep of UMass Lowell has thrust it back into the postseason picture, while the Bearcats are fifth. The Bears are batting only .223 in league play, averaging 3 runs per game. Binghamton has lost five straight, including a three-game set at Stony Brook.
