NEW SHARON, Maine — Two people are facing drug charges in connection with a heroin overdose in Franklin County last week.

Daniel Villacci, 27, and Tabatha Schoubroek, 29, both of New Sharon, were summoned by police but not arrested, according to State Police Sgt. Matt Casavant.

Casavant said Villaci is facing a charge of furnishing scheduled drugs and Schoubroek a charge of possession of heroin, both Class C felonies.

Police were called to a Farmington Falls Road home on April 8 when a child came home and found the two adults unresponsive, according to Casavant.

Based on police investigation, it was determined Villacci supplied the drugs to Schoubroek, Casavant said. A search of the residence turned up evidence of heroin use.

The sergeant said further charges are possible as police investigate the matter further.

Villacci and Schoubroek are scheduled to appear in court on June 24. Each faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
