Margaret L. ‘Margo’ Taintor

HAMPDEN – Margaret L. Taintor “Margo”, 100, died April 11, 2014 at a Bangor hospital followed by a brief illness. She was born in Ashfield, MA, Dec. 18, 1913, the daughter of Harlow and Amy (Elmer) Phillips.
Margaret worked in MA for many years, following her retirement she moved to Hampden to live with her beloved sister, Grace Phillips. Margaret was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan and never missed watching a game on TV or listening on the radio. She was honored by the Boston Red Sox Organization as one of the oldest, most loyal and knowledgeable fans in New England at a gathering in Bangor with Kurt Gowdy.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews from MA. She was predeceased by her sister and her dearest friend, Simone.
In keeping with Margaret’s wishes her ashes will be spread on the Mohawk Trail. Arrangements by Greenlawn Funeral Directors, Bangor.
