One dead after police-involved shooting in Windham

WINDHAM, Maine — Maine State Police and the Attorney General’s Office are investigating a police-involved shooting that left one person dead this morning, Portland’s WCSH 6 reports.

Police have not released any information about the victim, but WCSH reported that the shooting involved a Cumberland County sheriff’s deputy. The shooting happened just before 8 a.m.

All roads leading to Quartz Circle in Windham are closed and are expected to be closed for the next several hours.
