PAWTUCKET, R.I. — A Rhode Island man wanted for murder in that state was arrested in Lewiston on Tuesday, according to Ocean State officials.

Daquan Watts, 20, a suspect in a Christmas Eve murder in Pawtucket, was taken into custody without incident, according to Maj. Arthur Martins of the Pawtucket Police Department.

The FBI and Rhode Island State Police assisted Pawtucket police in apprehending Watts, Martins said.

Once Watts was in custody, he waived extradition and was transported back to Rhode Island, the major said.

Watts is being held at the Rhode Island Adult Correctional Institute. He offered no resistance upon being arrested, Martins said.
