MILBRIDGE – Debra (Ramsdell) McCrea, 53, died peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Ellsworth, with her family at her side. She was born January 14, 1961, in Lubec. She was the fourth of six children to Henry C. and Juanita H. (Rice) Ramsdell.
Debbie graduated from Washington Academy in 1979. She is known for her great love for children and took many foster children into her home.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer and her companion, Clif Chase; son, Henry and wife, Kelsey; daughter, Alicia; son, Jeffrey and wife, Nicole; and son, John and friend, Julie. Debbie is survived by her seven grandchildren, Makayla, Austin, Ethan, Callie, Konner, Bailey and Rylan. She is survived by her five siblings, Patricia Huntley, Ricky Ramsdell, Gregory Ramsdell, Daniel Ramsdell, Cynthia Braley, and their families.
Debbie also is survived by a very special companion, Tom Chase, his children, and grandchildren. Debbie was predeceased by her parents, and her youngest son, Joshua Gardner.
A service will be held at the Church of Christ in Milbridge, Saturday, April 12th at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at the Milbridge Elementary School. Interment will be at a later date at the Ramsdell Family Cemetery, Holmes’ Bay, Whiting.
The family wishes to thank Maine Coast Memorial Hospital for their care given while she was a patient. Arrangements are made by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge.
