By Stephen Betts, BDN Staff

ROCKLAND, Maine — Police are looking for a car that was stolen Sunday night from a city home.

The red 2001 Kia sedan was taken from outside 165 Pleasant St. sometime after 10 p.m. Police received the call from the owner shortly after 6 a.m. Monday.

The keys were left in the vehicle, Deputy Rockland Police Chief Wally Tower said. He said nearly every case of a stolen vehicle in Rockland in recent years has been when keys have been left in the vehicles. He urged motorists not to leave keys in their vehicles.

The Kia has a Maine license plate of 753TK.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Rockland police at 594-0316.
