BUCKSPORT – Crystal Marie O’Donnell, 32, has left our world to embark on her next adventure. She left us unexpectedly on March 24, 2014. She was born Sept. 1, 1981, to William “Billy” and Sheila Donahue O’Donnell.
Crystal was known for her spunky personality and smile. She loved all animals, reading, butterflies and dragonflies. Her favorite color was purple. In spite of being paralyzed in a car accident at the age of 18, she lived a full life and had many adventures with her family and friends. She even had her own business, Wish Bones, to raise money for a service dog.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Christopher Donahue, and Howard and Mary O’Donnell; stepgrandfather, Ted Horton; and cousin, Chris Barry. She is survived by her parents; brother, Casey and his son, Noah; one sister, Kelley Synder and husband, Kevin, and daughter, Elasia; grandmother, Jane Horton; aunts, Sandy Barry, and Sallie Donahue; special aunt, Holly Lutz; special friend, Becky French; and her beloved animals.
Visiting hours are 4-5 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, with a brief service at 5 p.m. Friends are encouraged to celebrate her life with her family at 6 p.m. at the Orland Masonic Hall, Orland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sheila O’Donnell, 1514 State Route 46, Bucksport, ME 04416, for the care and training of Crystal’s service dog Moose.
