Winslow man facing drug charges after allegedly selling marijuana

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

FAIRFIELD, Maine — A Winslow man is facing aggravated drug charges after he was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of selling marijuana, police said.

Dennis Brassard, 20, was taken into custody after a traffic stop on Tuesday, Fairfield police Chief Tom Gould said.

Brassard is believed to have sold marijuana in Mill Island Park, which is a designated drug-free zone, according to Gould.

The chief did not disclose to whom exactly Brassard sold the contraband.

Brassard had about half an ounce of marijuana on him when he was pulled over after a search warrant was obtained for him and his vehicle, the chief said.

Brassard is facing two charges of aggravated trafficking in Schedule Z drugs and was released on $500 bail from the Somerset County Jail after his arrest.
