CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO — Jason Medeiros of Hermon has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester at the College of Adult and Graduate Studies, Ohio Christian University.
BANGOR — James W. Williams American Legion Post 12 has awarded $500 scholarships each to Shauna Higgins of Orrington and Benjamin Miller of Old Town.
The Carmel Elementary School and the Suzanne M. Smith School are accepting pre-K and kindergarten registrations for the 2015-15 school year.
The pre-K program is a half-day program for children who turn 4 years old on or before Oct. 15, 2014. Enrollment is limited; students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kindergarten is for children who turn 5 years old on or before Oct. 15, 2014.

BANGOR — Zechariah Palmeter of Orono, a senior at Bangor Christian Schools, has been selected to receive the 2014 Principal’s Award, Headmaster Jim Frost has announced. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“During his time at Bangor Christian, Zac has been an outstanding leader academically and spiritually and has been an exceptional role model for his fellow students,” Foist said. “He has been an active participant in co-curricular activities and on interscholastic athletic teams at our school. Zac is has been involved in a number of activities in his community and local church and is an Eagle Scout. He is very deserving of this recognition.”
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association that represents Maine’s school administrators.
