Lois I. Hooper

HOULTON – Lois I. Hooper, 84, died March 20, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones at a local hospital. She was born Aug. 27, 1929, in Westfield, the daughter of Bennie and Reta (Lunney) Benjamin.

Lois attended Houlton Wesleyan church with her husband of 57 years Ashman. She enjoyed collecting Owls and playing card games. She and Ashman lived in Florida, N.Y., for over 30 years where she was employed by Modern Produce of New York for 20 plus years.

Lois is survived by her husband, Ashman of Houlton; son, Delmont Benjamin and wife, Susan, of Florida, N.Y.; two brothers, Merle of Texas, and Wilmot and Barb of Easton; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Hooper. She is also survived by two special nieces, Paula Scott, and Jan and her husband, Aaron Neureuther; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, and nephews. Lois was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Irma MacDonald.
