Edmay Daigle

MADAWASKA – Edmay Daigle, 94, passed away March 18, 2014, at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born April 4, 1919, in Grand Isle, daughter of the late Thaddie and Annie (Bouchard) Lausier.

Edmay was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxillary of Madawaska. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. She enjoyed gardening, but her favorite pastime was hunting in the Allagash with her family.

She is survived one son, Harold Daigle and his wife, Gilberte, of Madawaska; two grandchildren, Scott Daigle and his fiancée, Kim Lancaster, of Sanford, and Sandra Daigle Gallant and her husband, Lionel, of Saco; one sister, Laurette Doucette of Madawaska; four brothers, George Lausier and his wife, Betty, of Lac Baker, Patrick Lausier and his wife, Dot, Raymond Lausier and his wife, Nancy, all of Hartford, Conn., and James Lausier of Virgina; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Daigle; four sisters and two brothers.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday, at Lajoie Funeral Home, before the service.
