BELFAST – Lorraine E. Robbins, 75, passed away at Waldo County Hospital Sunday, March 16, 2014. She was born Jan. 27, 1939, in Prospect, a daughter of the late Eugene and Margaret (Ward) Seekins.
Lorraine loved reading, crocheting and cooking as well as butterflies. She loved her time spent at MCIR in Brewer doing rehabilitation and Special Olympics. Most of all she enjoyed cooking for family and friends and will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband in 2006, Frank Robbins; a daughter, Susan; and her brothers, Leroy and Lewis Seekins. She leaves behind her children, Frank Robbins and his wife, Cindy, of Virginia Beach, Va., Annette Patterson and her husband, Jim, of Gardiner, Kan., Ronald Robbins and his wife, Cindy, of Winslow, Wayne Robbins and his wife, Eleanor, of Hooksett, N.H., Greg Robbins and his wife, Sharon, of Orrington and Rusty Robbins and his wife, Teresa, of Bucksport; 23 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Lena Palmer, Linda Ward, Lucille Harvey, Lucy Seekins, Larry Seekins, and Lawrence Seekins; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at Riposta Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 24. Memorial donations may be made to Tall Pines Nursing Home, 34 Martin Lane, Belfast, ME 04915.
