Water main break forces Rockland school to close

ROCKLAND, Maine — A broken water main caused administrators to send students home from the South School at noon Monday.

Business Manager Scott Vaitones said an excavator is being brought in to repair the break and that school will be back in session Tuesday morning.

The South School has students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
