Gladys V. Philbrick

NEWPORT – Gladys V. Philbrick, 86, died March 12, 2014, at a Bangor hospital following a short illness. She was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Newport, the daughter of Raymond and Mable (Page) Philbrick.

Gladys attended Newport High School. For over 20 years she worked as a maid at Lovley’s Motel in Palmyra. Gladys was a hard worker and took pride in doing the best she could at what ever she was working on. She loved to play “BEANO” with her friends. She had many friends and enjoyed going to Church Suppers and riding in the country side.

Gladys had a “very close friend of over 50 some odd years” Maggie Newcomb of Newport. She also had many friends who she could always count on.
