WINN – Kevin Carey, 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home, March 9, 2014. Born Oct. 25, 1955, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed the outdoors, taking weekend trips to Bar Harbor and spending time with his grandson, Logan.

He was predeceased by his father, James; his mother, Betty (Thornton) Carey; and his father-in-law, Clinton Haynes. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his two children; his son, Chris and wife, Dianna, and their son, Logan; and his daughter, Jamie King and her husband, Clancy. He is also survived by his sister, Kelly and husband, Donnie Smith; his brother, Scott and wife, Rosemary; his brother, Brian and wife Linda; brothers-in-law, Roger Haynes and wife, Beth, and Gary Haynes and wife, Louise; and a very special mother-in-law, Dollie Haynes.

Kevin graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 1974 and received his journeyman’s license from Eastern Maine Technical College. He started his career working at the Lincoln mill in 1978. In 1982 he began working for Worcester Brothers where he worked for the next 22 years as a service technician and truck driver. He then worked for Larry Ham Construction for the last 10 years as a burner technician.
