James A. Curtis

DOVER-FOXCROFT – James A. Curtis, 48, beloved husband of Erica (Philpot) Curtis, passed away March 4, 2014, doing something he loved. He was born Aug. 11, 1965, in Dover-Foxcroft.
A self-employed contractor, Jim was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed snowmobiling, camping and ice-fishing. He adored his children, loving them all to the fullest. He was loyal to his friends and family alike and he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Erica, of Dover-Foxcroft; three daughters, Bethany Curtis, Olivia Hassell, and Katy Johnson; a son, Darren Hassell; a brother, Lorenzo “Mark” Vicente and his wife, Nicole; a stepbrother, Dean Munson; several nieces and a nephew; his father, Arnold Curtis and his wife, Pam; his mother, Crystal Saunders and her husband, Byron; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Michael and Norman, and his father, James Chase.
A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. Memorial contributions to benefit the family may be made to the James A.
