HOULTON, Maine — Six Aroostook County men were arrested Thursday as police seized more than 12 pounds of bath salts, according to officials.

Arrested and charged with trafficking in synthetic hallucinogens were the following: Keith Cochran, 38, Karter Burtt, 24, Brandon Mills, 24, all of Mars Hill; Doli Hayes, 33, of Fort Fairfield; and Ryan Brewer, 21, of Blaine, according to Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Cmdr. Peter Arno.

A sixth man, Eric Rosten, 50, of Presque Isle, is accused of trafficking in oxycodone, Arno said.

During an investigation, drug agents were able to make numerous bath salts purchases from five of the men and an oxycodone purchase from Rosten, Arno said.

In addition to the drugs, $40,000 in cash was seized.

Assisting in the investigations and arrests were officers from Fort Fairfield, the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security.

The six men are being held on $10,000 bail at Aroostook County Jail, Arno said. More arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
