Marion A. Manter

PRESQUE ISLE – Marion A. Manter, 84 a devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Monday March 3, 2014 at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born May 31, 1929, the daughter of Norris and Alice (Carver) Wood.

She did volunteer work for the American Heart Association for a number years. Marion enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome Manter of Presque Isle; three daughters, Adrienne Morang of Windsor, CT., Bonnie Glidden and her husband, Frederick of South China, Diane Monahan and her husband, Steve of Presque Isle; her stepchildren, John Manter and his wife, Norma of Zephyrhills, FL., Carol Ricker and her husband, Dave of Fort Fairfield, Bob Manter and his wife, Betsy of Portland, a daughter in law, Sue Smith of Lubbock, TX; 13 grandchildren 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Brian Smith.
