CORRECTION:

Due to a production error, page A3 of Friday’s paper contained incorrect results for the daily poll question.

The question reads: “Would you vote in favor of outlawing the hunting of bears over bait, with hounds or with traps if the question is on the November ballot?”

We printed that 71 percent of 587 respondents voted yes, and 29 percent voted no. That is backwards -- in fact, 29 percent voted yes, and 71 percent voted no.

We understand this affects public perception of the issue, and we regret the error.
