ORRINGTON – Harris Gordon Prahm, 61, died March 1, 2014, at a Bangor hospital. Gordon was born July 21, 1952, in Bangor, the son of Harris Gordon Prahm Sr. and Helen Brennan Prahm.
He was an accomplished carpenter in construction, finish work and furniture making. Gordon attended Brewer High School. After a motorcycle accident in 1988, which left him a paraplegic, he continued his education at the University of Maine, Orono, and Bangor Community College, earning a degree in computer drafting.
He is survived by his sisters, Pauline (Prahm) Ehrman and husband, Tony, of North Woodstock, N.H., Sue Ellen (Prahm) Matson and husband, Karl, of Milo, Laurie (Sullivan) Dean and husband, Glen, of Hampden, CI (Sullivan) Seippel of Riverside, R.I., Rosemary (Sullivan) Baker and husband, Ken, of Sebastian, Fla., and Mary Ann Howse of Escondido, Calif.; a niece, Heather (Ehrman) Krill; and nephews, Gregory Ehrman, Paul Seippel, Keith Dean and Mathew Dean. He will also be missed by many special friends, especially Mary and John, Deidre, Andy and Peter. Gordon was predeceased by his mother and father; a stepfather, Louis Sullivan; a niece, Michelle Pilcher; and a nephew, Brian Seippel.
At Gordon’s request, there will be no funeral service. A memorial may be announced at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Brian T. Seippel Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 154438, East Providence, RI 02915.
