A post on The Washington Post’s GovBeat blog shares a tool created by Clarity Campaign Labs, a company that provides campaign strategy, data, and analytics for Democratic causes, that predicts your political views, your level of education and whether you own a gun, just on the basis of your first name.

The data are mined from voter lists.

Just wondering how common your name is? The Social Security Administration has a tool that provides a state-by-state breakdown of popular names from 1960 to 2012.
