Charity (Blanchard) Worster

WINN – Charity (Blanchard) Worster, 86, wife of the late Roger Worster Sr., went home to her Lord and Savior Feb. 28, 2014, at a Howland nursing home. She was born Jan. 6, 1928, in East Millinocket, the daughter of Ernest and Olie (Smith) Blanchard.
Charity was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling with her husband, especially to country music shows and bluegrass festivals as well as tending to her houseplants and flowers, and feeding the birds.
She is survived by a son, Roger Jr.; a granddaughter, Amanda and her husband, Matt; a great-grandson, Edward; and a very special former daughter-in-law, Michelle; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband; a daughter; four sisters; and several relatives and friends.
Honoring Charity’s wishes, there will be no visitation, with spring interment at Butterfield Cemetery, Prentiss. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, or the Alzheimer’s Association. Those who wish may sign an online register and leave written condolences at www.clayfuneralhome.com.
