BANGOR, Maine — A Glenburn woman was arrested last week after police say they found pills and marijuana on her after responding to a minor accident on Finson Road.
The sequence of events leading to the arrest of Nichol Hall, 38, started shortly after 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16, when two officers responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Finson Road, Bangor police Sgt. Cathy Rumsey said.
It was unclear how Hall’s vehicle went off the road.
While questioning Hall, police discovered she had a suspended driver’s license and active warrant for her arrest, Rumsey said, and was placed under arrest.
Before being placed in a cruiser, officers found a usable amount of marijuana and prescription pills hidden in a small container on Hall, Rumsey said.
Hall did not have a prescription for the pills, and she appeared to be impaired from drugs, Rumsey said.
A drug recognition expert determined Hall was indeed under the influence of drugs, and she was charged with unlawful possession of a Schedule W drug, OUI, operating after suspension and possession of marijuana and brought to Penobscot County Jail.
