He was a graduate of Presque Isle High School, Class of 1963. Merle worked as a maintenance man at Northern Maine Technical School for many years. Merle was self-employed at the Slaughter House in Mars Hill and worked as Deputy Sheriff. In 1988 he married his wife, Carol Mosher Kenison. They had 25 great years. They enjoyed the times they spent in the woods, just riding ATV’s or bird hunting from their woods camp. He was an avid hunter, gun collector, and all hunting gear, especially antiques. Merle was especially proud of his Master Guide license and in the later years loved guiding moose hunters, especially the “Rockland Cowboys” who grew to be extra special friends. Joe Ginn and his wife, Stacey have been a huge blessing to the whole family.
