Rockland man accused of selling cocaine from bar

ROCKLAND, Maine — A 39-year-old Rockland man is free on bail after he was arrested Tuesday for allegedly selling cocaine from a local bar.

Barry Murgita was arrested following an investigation by Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, Maine State Police and Rockland police. An MDEA news release stated that he was arrested after agents found Murgita in possession of five bags of cocaine that were packaged for resale and a small amount of money from previous sales of cocaine.

Murgita was a customer at the bar, according to MDEA.

He was taken to the Knox County Jail in Rockland and released on bail. His initial court appearance is scheduled for March 26.
