Two-car crash on Bath Road ties up Monday afternoon traffic in Brunswick

By Beth Brogan, BDN Staff

BRUNSWICK, Maine — An 18-year-old Brunswick woman failed to yield as her car merged on Bath Road, causing a two-car crash Monday afternoon that left the other vehicle on its roof.

Hope Ashland was driving a 2008 Audi east on Bath Road at about 2:15 p.m. when she failed to yield and the Audi struck a 1994 Toyota driven by Cory Higgins, 17, also of Brunswick. As a result of the collision, the Toyota rolled onto its roof, according to Deputy Police Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department.

Higgins complained of pain but was not taken to a hospital. Neither Ashland or her three passengers were injured.

Hagan said no charges were pending.
