GREENVILLE, Maine — A Brewer couple who went missing while on a snowmobile ride near Greenville have been found alive, officials said.

Lloyd “Mike” Blanchard Jr. and Wendy Lainez-Blanchard of Brewer had stayed the night at Northern Outdoors Lodge on Sunday evening, according to Cpl. John MacDonald of the Maine Warden Service.

The couple left Kineo View motel in Greenville on Sunday morning between 8 and 9 a.m. and were expected back around 2 p.m. the same day.

A miscommunication with the Kineo View motel owner had them due back on Sunday as opposed to Monday, when they were due back, according to MacDonald.

Family and friends notified game wardens the couple were OK and of their location after seeing reports of them missing in local media.
