CORINNA and DEXTER – Marion Louise (Wilber) Sinclair, 87, the wife of the late LaForest E. Sinclair, died at the Dexter Health Care Facility Feb. 21, 2014. She was born June 29, 1926, in Nashua, N.H., the daughter of Percy E. and Eva D. (Jameson) Wilber.
She graduated from MCI in Pittsfield, class of 1944 and then worked at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna as a Weave Room Clerk, retiring in 1988. She and LaForest Sinclair were married Sept. 13, 1961. She was a former member of the Victoria Rebekah Lodge No. 74 in Newport and the American Legion Auxillary. She had worked as a volunteer at the Methodist Church Food Pantry for many years. Marion had been a longtime resident of Corinna. Because of health reasons, she moved to Dexter Health Care three years ago. The family sends special thanks to the Health Care nurses and staff for the excellent care and love provided to make Marion feel at home.
She is survived by a brother, Harold Wilbur of Pittsfield; two nieces, Carleen Harriman and Loretta Martin; a “granddaughter,” Erica Henderson; and special friends, Bonnie and Morris Holbrook.
Friends may call 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Corinna United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with the Rev. Terry McKinley officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of fellowship and refreshment at the Church following the service.
