WARREN, Maine — A Maine State Prison inmate was found dead at the Warren facility early Friday morning, according to officials.

George Henry O’Donnell, 79, was pronounced dead at 3 a.m., according to Scott Fish of the Maine Department of Corrections.

O’Donnell, who is from Franklin County, had served four months of a 30-month sentence he received in October 2003 for unlawful sexual contact, Fish said.

O’Donnell had been scheduled to be released in March 2016, with eight years of probation to follow.

State police and the state medical examiner were notified of O’Donnell’s death, and both departments are reviewing.
