Ivory D. Richards

MILO – Ivory D. Richards, 78, husband of Leona (Buzzell) Richards passed away peacefully Feb. 14, 2014, at Brewer Rehab and Living Center with his loving wife by his side. He was born Feb. 4, 1936, in Atkinson, the son of Guy and Alma (Smith) Richards.

Ivory worked as a woodsman for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ivory will be remembered for his cooking, storytelling, and playing the harmonica.

In addition to his wife, Leona, Ivory is survived by three sons, Timmy, Bill, and Gary Richards; five daughters, Cindy Wright, Patty Badger, Charlene Rideout, Viola Batchelder, and Ivolena Smith; two stepchildren, William and Penny Brown; and several brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Friends are invited to call 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Burial in the family lot at Greenwood Cemetery, Atkinson, will be in the spring. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
