MADAWASKA – Dolores Cyr, 86, passed away Feb. 15, 2014, surrounded by her family at a Madawaska health care facility after a short illness. She was born Aug. 24, 1927, in St. Agatha, daughter of the late Ernest and Annie (Thibodeau) Cyr.
Dolores loved to dance, play cards, and embroider. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella and the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by three daughters, Louise Depew and her husband, Jay, of Old Town, Nancy Patterson and her husband, Kaleo, of Hawaii, and Flo Morneault of Madawaska; five sons, Jim Cyr and his wife, Angie, of Madawaska, Jean Cyr of New York, Charles Cyr and his wife, Monique, of St. David, Marcel Cyr and his wife, Patsy, of Brunswick, and Bert Cyr and his wife, Rina, of Madawaska; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Fern Dufour of Portland, and Luella St. Pierre of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Cyr; and by one granddaughter, Alyssa Cyr.
