Report: High school basketball players suspended for drinking violations

BOOTHBAY, Maine — Six Boothbay High School basketball players have been suspended for underage drinking, according to a report in the Portland Press Herald.

The players attended a party over the weekend in which alcohol was consumed, the Press Herald reported.

The players will miss the Seahawks’ Western Maine Class C quarterfinal game on Monday. Boothbay is the defending Western Maine champion.
