BANGOR & CARIBOU – Chris Scott Ennis, 54, passed away unexpectedly, Feb. 7, 2014, in Bangor. He was born Feb. 14, 1959, in Caribou, the son of Gordon and Connie (Lyon) Ennis.
Raised in Caribou, Chris graduated from Caribou High School in 1977. He loved sports especially basketball and softball. Chris had a great personality and made many friends along the way. He loved his family especially his three granddaughters, Grace Lauren and Melina who will miss “Grampie.” His two daughters were very special to him and he appreciated all they did for him.
Surviving are his children, Amanda Ennis and Lindsay Hammond and her husband, Joseph; his granddaughters; his mother, Connie Ennis; a brother, Jack Casey; sisters, Tammie Ennis and Terri Jennette and her husband, Mark; grandmother, Helen Quimby; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Gordon Ennis; uncles, David Lyon and John Lyon; and family friend, Michael Wiltse.
A celebration of Chris’ life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Bangor Baptist Church, 1476 Broadway, Bangor. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
