ORLANDO, Fla. – Karolynn “Ka” (Kuefler) Lesney, 55, unexpectedly departed this world Feb. 1, 2014, to join her beloved mother, Librada (Lee) Kuefler and father, Kenneth Kuefler Sr., in a place of peace. She was born in New York City in August 1958.
Karolynn moved to Springfield, in with her mother and siblings in 1967. After graduating from Lee Academy in 1976, Ka moved to Orlando, Fla., to work, where she met and married Gary Lesney in 1982.
Karolynn was loved by everyone she met. She held a variety of jobs, but her passion for cooking was always her first love. She was a wonderful cook; always experimenting but able to prepare many of Mom’s recipes from when we were kids.
Karolynn leaves behind her husband of 31 years, Gary of Orlando, Fla.; siblings, Kathleen of Portland, Ken Jr. of Columbia, S.C., Charles of Norridgewock, and Lisa of Old Town; as well as a nephew, Ken III of Colorodo; and nieces, Kristina of Vermont, Emma and Erin of Kansas, and Adrienne of Norridgewock.
A celebration and remembrance will be held in the late spring. The day, time and place will be determined at a later date. Anyone whose hearts were touched by Karolynn is encouraged to come. Donations may be made in her name to House In The Woods, 2819 Lee Road, Lee, ME 04455.
