BANGOR and MILO – Jean Marilyn Mayo, 80, died with her family by her side, Feb. 10, 2014, at her home. She was born Jan. 24, 1934, the daughter of Raymond and Louise (Degerstrom) White.
Jean graduated from Brownville Junction High School, class of 1952. After high school Jean married her sweetheart Neil A. Mayo, and they lived and raised their children in Milo. Jean was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother.
Jean is survived by her husband of 61 years, Neil A. Mayo of Bangor; a son, Dale Mayo and his wife, Carol, of Orrington; a daughter, Pam (Mayo) Watson and her husband, Mike, of Hermon; grandchildren, Kyla Mayo, Erin Mayo, Shane Mayo, Michael Mayo, Matthew Watson, Rebecca Watson, and Diane Harris; great-grandchildren, Elijah Mabe, and Raylin Mayo; sisters, Mary Douglass and her husband, Harvey, Patty Stevens, and Shirley McLaughlin and her husband, Everett; and many nieces and nephews.
