HOULTON – Joan M. Belyea, 76, died Feb. 3, 2014, at her residence. She was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Houlton, the daughter of Bert and Hazel (Ellis) Suitter.
Joan attended the Glad Tidings Church and The Rock Church both of Bangor. She was a member of the Houlton Wesleyan Church. Joan enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family was her greatest love.
Joan is survived by her children, Wayne and his wife, Cathy, Rodney, Randy and his wife, Kim, and Heidi Joaquin and her husband, Jeff; eight grandchildren, Jill and fiancé, Cole, Matt, Josh and his wife, Alicia, Kate, Micah, Melissa, Josh and Trey; six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jacob, Alana, Lilli Ann, Hayden and Jaycee; ten siblings, Ronald, Sonny, Marvin, Glen, Ray, Jeanette, Darrell, Connie, Ervin, Norma, and Larry; several nieces and nephews; and special extended family, Harold Fitzpatrick II, Lisa Belyea, Brian Forest, and Miranda Lundin. Also leaving behind her beloved dog, Jada. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; her parents; her grandson, Nick Belyea; brothers, Kenny, Eddie, and Bobby; and sisters, Althea, Maxine, and Donna.
