FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — A Fort Fairfield man was arrested Friday morning on an outstanding warrant and is now facing charges of drug possession, according to information released Friday afternoon by Aroostook County Chief Deputy Sheriff Darrell Crandall.
Scott Larson, 42, was spotted shortly after 7:30 a.m. by a sheriff’s deputy putting gasoline into what appeared to be a disabled vehicle, Crandall said.
The deputy ran a check on Larson and discovered an outstanding arrest for failure to pay fines on a previous drug conviction and for violating conditions of release.
Following Larson’s arrest Friday morning, Crandall said, the deputy discovered he was in possession of bath salts and drug paraphernalia.
Larson was subsequently charged with possession of synthetic hallucinogenic drugs and taken to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton, where he remained Friday evening.
