WINDHAM AND THE FORKS – Julita “Lita” Anne Drowns, 62, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, unexpectedly and peacefully at her home in Windham. She was born March 7, 1951, in Rockford, Ill., the daughter of Eugene and Thelma (Calloway) Haselton.
She was predeceased by her father, Eugene Wilbur Haselton; sister, Rebecca Lynn Haselton; and son-in-law, Ross Ecklind. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Leon Drowns; two daughters, Danielle Drowns-Farrell and husband, Chris, of Manchester, and Tammy Lynn Ecklind-Jackson and husband, Emmanuel, of Corcoran, Calif.; one son, Zachary Drowns of Boulder City, Nev.; eight grandchildren, Emma and Jilleon Farrell of Manchester, Jacob and Lucas Drowns of Boulder City, Nev., and Bridgett Ecklind Uribe, Shawna Eckland, Whitney Ecklind Rodriguez and Michael Ecklind of Corcoran, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Peter Gomez , Cassandra Gomez, Zavier Uribe, Zoey Rodriguez and Robert Rodriguez of Corcoran, Calif..; her mother, Thelma Haselton, of Boulder City, Nev.; and siblings, Bradley and Linda Haselton, of Phoenix, Eunice and Donald Huth of Riverside, Calif., Scott and Jan Haselton of Boulevard, Calif., Teisha and Jeff Jones of Henderson, Nev., Heather and Chris Ducic of Littleton, Colo., Dawn and BJ Suitter of Hodgdon, Garth and Rhonda Haselton of Piqua,Ohio, Cary and Sara Haselton of Union, Ohio, and Randall Haselton of Lawton, Okla.; sister-in law, Karen and Preston Greenlee of Minot, N.D.; sister-in-law, Martha Buckley of Baldwin; and brother-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Drowns of Bonsal, Calif.; and the beyond countless number of close and extended family members.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, with memorial services to follow at Hobbs Funeral Home, South Portland.
