Benefit supper set for parents of Maine Olympian

Members of the Aroostook County skiing community are holding a benefit supper this weekend to help send Chris and Debbie Currier of Stockholm to see their son, Russell Currier, represent the United States as a member of the biathlon team in the upcoming Winter Olympics in Russia.

The spaghetti supper will be held 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Caribou High School cafeteria, according to Bob Sprague, Currier’s former high school ski coach and one of the organizers of the supper.

Donations may also be made for the Curriers by sending a check made out to Snowy Mountain Trails, which is the nonprofit organization that takes care of the ski trails in Stockholm, for the Curriers, care of Tamara Cote, 20 Station St., Stockholm, Maine 04783.
