Another year, another great class! BRLI continues to grow in depth and scope each year while working to make the learning experience rich and memorable for everybody.

The best and brightest of the Bangor Region compete for inclusion in this program, which keeps the experience tangible and personal. Constant attention to curriculum development, drawing alumni back to the program, and an exceptionally strong steering committee fosters an environment of professionalism and networking second to none.

The numerous businesses, organizations, community and regional leaders that support our mission are astounding, without which the program would have a fraction of the impact that is shared today. The transition of 24 strangers, representing nearly as many industries, over the span of eight months to ultimately function as a cohesive unit is awe inspiring.

The real-world applications and lessons learned during the curriculum timeframe permits each individual to stretch and perform well outside of their comfort zones. This learning environment allows each class member to experiment, explore and learn, ultimately to the benefit of the organization they represent.

It’s uncommon to find a leadership program structured in this fashion, focusing on the region in which you live and work.

Typical leadership seminars are just that, seminars of relatively short duration. The impact of an eight-month curriculum is enormous. It allows consistent reinforcement of ideas, techniques and experiences that last a lifetime.

BRLI is a phenomenal program. If you’re a graduate from years ago, you should connect with one of our steering-committee members to see how things have changed. If you know of an individual who may benefit from the experience, I encourage you to inquire about the application process.

BRLI is great for your business, the Bangor Region and the students that complete our program. Visit us at www.brliexperience.org to learn more and don’t miss a night of laughter and fun as BRLI proudly presents …. The Lumberjack Laugh-In, a Flannel Affair on Saturday, March 8.
