BELFAST AND SEARSPORT – Natalie Rae (Bonsey) Hess, 83, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 at a Belfast hospital. She was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Eastbrook, the daughter of Claude L. and Rena M. (Wilbur) Bonsey.
Natalie grew up in Surry, and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1948. She spent most of her life living in Searsport. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Searsport.
She is survived by three sons; Carl A. Hess and wife, Deborah of MA., Melvin S. Hess and wife, Cathy of NC, and Gregory J. Hess and wife, Elizabeth of VA.; five grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle, Amanda, Tyler and Samuel, one great-granddaughter; one brother; Osmond Bonsey and wife, Ann of Surry. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by here husband, Ernest R. Hess Jr. in 1982.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 12 noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main Street, Searsport, with Rev. Deborah Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the spring in Gordon Cemetery, Searsport.
