Police: Dover-Foxcroft man found with a pound of marijuana

DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — A local man is facing a felony charge after a bust led Piscataquis County sheriff’s deputies to a pound of marijuana on Tuesday.

Archie Maloon, 50, was charged with one count of possession of a Schedule Z drug, a Class C felony, according to Deputy Kyle Wilson.

Police conducted a search at Maloon’s residence based on a tip, Wilson said, and wound up finding the pot at the residence on Tuesday.

Maloon was taken into custody without incident and was later released on bail from the Piscataquis County Jail, Wilson said. He is due in court on March 3.

A woman who also lives at Maloon’s residence, Rachel Bailey, 32, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia but not arrested, Wilson said.
